WEARING JEWELLERY AS AN ACCESSORY – TOP TIPS TO IMPRESS

​I am sure lots of us have various pieces of jewellery (fashion jewellery as well as diamonds and pearls) lying around in boxes, pouches, etc.   Some of us may look after our jewellery by cleaning and caring for the pieces – some of us may not!
 
Firstly, let’s talk about wearing necklaces.

LONG NECKLACES

​The most flattering place for a long necklace to finish is your mid tummy ie tummy button.   The reason for this is to create the effect of a lengthier torso which also gives you a slimmer/flatter tummy.
For bigger busted ladies avoid having the necklace finish on the bust – either wear as above or have a necklace sitting in the neckline (depending on outfit you are wearing).

Necklaces in your dressing table drawers can easily be shortened/altered/repaired.
 

 
BRACELETS/CUFFS

​These are lovely accessories drawing the eye towards the jewellery piece and taking attention away from upper arms (unless you have amazing biceps/triceps)!!  Also try mixing different metals and shapes and sizes together (although remember less is more).
 

 
COCKTAIL RINGS

​A cocktail ring is a lovely feature.  If you feel your hands are looking more mature then believe me a cocktail ring brings a youthfulness to hands.   Bear in mind you need to find the right size, shape, and design to suit your own individuality/personality.

 
EARRINGS (THE HOOP)

​As we mature a hooped earring helps frame the face and help give it a lift.   If you feel this hooped look is not for you then try to gently move from your current earring type – small steps at a time.  You will be pleasantly surprised at the outcome.
