​AUTUMN/WINTER COLOURS 2016



I know it is only August but as I always say it is better to be prepared and  check what's out and about early in the season.

The colours this season according  to 'Pantone Colour Fashion Report' are highlighting Strength, Confidence and Complexity!

There will be a mixture of the 'Blue  family', earth tones as well as vibrant colours.

Great names too ......... Riverside, Sharkskin, Lush Meadow, Potters Clay and New Bodacious to name a few.

Did you know that:

BLUE  (Riverside and Airy Blue) is associated with a quiet confidence, compassion and introspection - calms the mind and relaxes the body?

GREY (Sharkskin) is known to be reliable and hardworking - possible interview number?

RED (Aurora Red) well .... Power, passion, vitality and confidence.   Thinking about it might be good for a workout?

PINK  (Dusty Cedar)  associated with femininity, softness, love and caring?

YELLOW (Spicy Mustard) - happiness, imagination, laughter and willpower?

PURPLE (New Bodacious) - balances the mind and brain?

ORANGE (Potters Clay) - this colour links passion, vibrancy, pleasure and fun - giving you a sense of wellbeing?

As I said earlier the Blue family seems to be 'in' this coming season, with the earthy greys and taupes great as base colours and layering.  Then we have the vibrant colours to get us through the Autumn/Winter months - oranges, reds, purples, yellows and green.

Saying all of the above, perhaps you are not a strong 'RED' person. Don't despair! -  you can tone down your outfit to a colour you prefer as your main colour and add in a vibrant colour, eg, a bag, scarf, jewellery to meep you in the seasonal trend.

My aim is to make you feel good about yourself and boost your self-esteem.  You should work with your clothes to bring out your true personality and allow it to shine through.

Funny writing this as I love grey, taupe, orange, red and purples!!!!
