MAKING ACCESSORIES WORK FOR YOU

Adding an accessory or accessories to an outfit means you are creating your own individuality and uniqueness to your image.   Also, of course, it is an opportunity to re-enhance and re-create your existing wardrobe, hence saving you money - yeah !

COUPLE OF HINTS TO HELP YOU ALONG THE WAY

• Always remember the rule 'less is more' - there is nothing worse than going over the top with accessories;
• Use accessories which bring out your true personality - if you do not do bling that's OK,  but if you do that's great too!  Always choose something which makes you feel good and maybe a little bit different without going outwith your comfort zone too much.    The aim is to look and feel good;
  
• It's good to experiment with different textures and fabrics;
• Gold and silver is now good to wear together - just remember and keep the lines simple if doing this;
• Think about proportions ie your height, build and what you are wearing as the basic.   Getting the proportions wrong will not create the look you want.

SCARVES

• The forever popular scarf.   These are so multi-functional and do not need to be overly expensive to create effect.  As well as wearing around your neck try using as a belt or tied to your handbag.

• Shapes and sizes for all occasions - remember proportions.   A handbag is not just to put under the table or put in the centre of the dance floor! It is an important accessory and says a lot about you.

• How many times have we had a 'bad hair day' ?   Your hair is an important accessory and depending on what we are wearing and for what occasion should help determine the style or image we are working towards. - maybe loose and tousled, straightened, curled or in a top knot.   
  
• Always look polished with beautifully manicured nails to complete the look and for those of you who know me I never ever do not have lippy with me - even when running my marathons I have one tucked in my pocket !!!
